Ephesians 4:4-14

⁴There is ^(A)one body and ^(B)one Spirit—just as you were called to the one ^(C)hope that belongs to your call— ⁵^(D)one Lord, ^(E)one faith, ^(F)one baptism, ⁶^(G)one God and Father of all, ^(H)who is over all and through all and in all. ⁷But ^(I)grace was given ^(J)to each one of us ^(K)according to the measure of Christ's gift. ⁸Therefore it says,

^(L)“When he ascended on high ^(M)he led a host of captives,
and he gave gifts to men.”^[a]

⁹(^(N)In saying, “He ascended,” what does it mean but that he had also descended into ^(O)the lower regions, the earth?^[b] ¹⁰He who descended is the one who also ^(P)ascended ^(Q)far above all the heavens, that he might ^(R)fill all things.) ¹¹And ^(S)he gave the ^(T)apostles, the prophets, the ^(U)evangelists, the ^(V)shepherds^[c] and teachers,^[d] ¹²^(W)to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for ^(X)building up ^(Y)the body of Christ, ¹³until we all attain to ^(Z)the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, ^(AA)to mature manhood,^[e] to the measure of the stature of ^(AB)the fullness of Christ, ¹⁴so that we may no longer be children, ^(AC)tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in ^(AD)deceitful schemes.
